‘Oh Mary’ is a rollercoaster ride of tears, romances and some laughter, steamrolling through stark emotional entanglements, with love and happiness as the ultimate goal.

Mary’s story begins in Ireland but her adventures bring her to sunny Bodrum in Turkey where she becomes besotted with a devastatingly handsome young man with a dark ulterior motive.

It all began as an eleven-year-old schoolgirl. When she is kissed by a classmate in an innocent game of spin the bottle, it sparks off a love that lasts a lifetime.

With a mother who is both coercive and physically cruel, Mary is also a victim of bullying throughout her entire school life. This drives the young teenager to create in her mind a make-believe version of her young love but the harsh reality of real life is just around the corner.

At seventeen, having no siblings or friends, Mary is in no way mentally prepared for the attention and indecent proposals she gets from men. Her stunning good looks (that she is totally unaware of) draw the attention of a handsome older man who is successful in business but very controlling in every aspect of his life. Their meeting proves to be catastrophic.

Mary’s childhood love who went off to boarding school at the age of eleven disappearing from her life completely pursues a career in the music business and finds success in Germany. Out of the blue the most tragic events imaginable crash into the young Irish musicians existence.

Mary is totally oblivious to this development as she struggles to deal with the misfortunes that life throws at her. She, in spite of a pitiful, subservient loveless life still has the capacity to love and wants desperately to be loved but Mary continually suffers extreme hardship in abusive doomed relationships. If only the two young eleven year olds who fell in love could meet, they would both thrive with unending love and support from each other as only true soulmates can experience.
